Valais Hotel - Alykanas (Zakynthos)

We enjoyed the excellent access to the beautiful beach from the hotel, making it easy for us to spend our days by the sea.

The air conditioning unit in our room was poorly positioned, causing discomfort while trying to use it, especially with its stale odor.

Decent size units with a kettle and a fridge and affable staff.

Location so close to the Valais, bars in the town, and the shops, great selection of bars and restaurants. For tea or coffee visit Gelateria Fresco nearby. Huge rooms with free WiFi, double balcony, for instance, always lovely and wonderful staff.

The beach access was fantastic, but the air conditioning smelled unpleasant.

The staff made our stay special

Waking up every morning to a warm greeting from the staff set a positive tone for our days. The pools were a hit with our kids, who loved the fun slides and never ran out of activities. We also enjoyed the relaxing beachside location, perfect for family bonding.

Unfortunately, the breakfast options fell short. We often chose local eateries instead. The small fridge barely fit our snacks, and paying for beach loungers felt unwelcoming despite being guests.

The hotel has a lovely pool area which is perfect for relaxation, and the beach is conveniently located just across the road. The food options became repetitive, and there were some issues with slow service. Despite this, the friendly staff contributed positively to the overall experience.

Ideal proximity to a long sandy beach with water shallow enough for young kids. The pool area, particularly by the beach, offers fine views of Kefalonia, with options for all ages, including a dedicated splash park for children.

The air conditioning unit in the room emitted a stale odor and was poorly positioned. The bathroom facilities were cramped, with low water pressure and outdated fixtures. Dining options lacked variety and quality, with many guests finding the food below average and overpriced, leading them to seek meals elsewhere. The ambiance at the restaurant, edged by peculiar background music, detracted from the overall dining experience.

The beach was relaxing and had lots of unoccupied areas in the sea, perfect for swimming. Try to explore nearby restaurants for better food options.

The hotel's Venetian-style architecture and clean, spacious common areas were inviting, providing easy access for seniors like myself. I appreciated the thoughtful layout.

More shaded areas by the pool would be beneficial.

Great service, friendly staff. Convenient beach location with water sports. Sports bar available. Welcome folder with island info. Discount on bar and sunbeds. Well-equipped rooms with clean facilities. Optional air con for a fee. Reasonable breakfast options. Interesting nautical-themed reception area. Adequate price list with various services. Will consider returning in the future.

The restaurant at this venue offers delicious food and excellent service, with fresh dishes available, and the beautiful beach views are mesmerizing.

This is a huge advantage of the hotel, as you can easily enjoy the sandy beach and clear sea whenever you want.

The bathroom could do with a make-over. The shower experience was not great, ranging from constant pressure to no pressure, with instances of warm to cold water.

The location here is beautiful and amazing, with convenient parking, and a wide range of delicious food options available.

Great central location within walking distance of shops and souvenir stores, the rooms are spacious and clean with a nice terrace.
